Rod Cantrill adds his voice to the opposition to housing growth

Rod Cantrill, the Liberal Democrat candidate for South West Bedfordshire, added his voice to the opposition to housing growth at the LOUD march and demonstration in Leighton Buzzard on Saturday.
Commenting on the opportunistic application for 900 homes west of Linslade Rod stated: "It is clear to me that local councils and the subsequent planning appeal inspector must refuse this development proposal which has countless negatives and not a single positive advantage to the town and its residents."
"Liberal Democrats want to see local government given back the powers to decide its own future which include housing and travellers sites. Your own councillors know much better than Whitehall bureaucrats what is good for their locality. If we have influence after the General Election this will be a key priority."
